Ezekia at Hunt Scanlon's PE & VC Recruiting Conference, San Francisco
Duncan Barker, Sales Manager at Ezekia, moderated a panel on scaling leadership at Hunt Scanlon Media's PE & VC Recruiting Conference in San Francisco on 28 October 2026. Ezekia was also a gold sponsor of the event.
The conference, "Scaling Growth Through Transformative Talent," took place at The Marker Hotel and was set up to bring together more than 250 talent leaders, investors, operators, and executive recruiters from across private equity, venture capital, and high-growth technology. Hunt Scanlon Media is the leading publication covering executive search and talent in the United States. It is the second Hunt Scanlon conference Ezekia has joined this autumn, after Chicago in September, where Max Woolger introduced a session.
The Panel
Duncan moderated "Scaling Leadership in High-Growth Ecosystems: From Early Momentum to Enduring Scale." The question behind it is one every growing company runs into. As the conference programme put it, what works in early growth phases may not hold as complexity increases, capital structures evolve, and operations go global.
The programme said the session would look at how companies decide whether a leader can scale with the business, when to upgrade or supplement talent, and how to strengthen an executive bench without losing speed.
The panel was Michael Finegold, Head of Talent at Endeavour, John Dahlgren, Head of Talent at SBJ Capital, Lisa Maxwell, Founder of L. Maxwell, Girish Mirchandani, Head of Talent at WestBridge Capital, and Josh Fisher, Managing Director of DeWinter Group. Hunt Scanlon said their expertise spans private equity, venture capital, and executive search, and that they shared "meaningful and relevant examples and insights."
Duncan's own summary was short: "What a pleasure to moderate this panel of experts in San Francisco."
